Located in the upper floor of the NH Collection Madrid Suecia, this one is definitely one of our favorite’s rooftops. It has two floors, both with relaxing big sofas where you can have some drinks, the upper floor you can enjoy 360º views of the city. During the day it has a relaxing environment with good music and at night its more of a party vibe. When there is an event or on weekends you have to pay an entrance fee but you can have either 2 beers or 1 drink with the ticket. 

El Viajero

Plaza de la Cebada #11

It is located in the neighborhood La Latina, one of the oldest neighborhoods of Madrid. The terrace is located on the third floor and it is a way great to relax when exploring the area. The specialty is the mojito, so we recommend ordering it with a few tapas.

Plaza de España #3

It is located in the VP Plaza España Design Hotel, it is one of the rooftops with more style in Madrid and it is not as expensive as it looks. You can enjoy great views of Plaza España and Madrid’s Royal Palace and because the sunset there is amazing it gets pretty busy around that time.

Tartan Rooftop Circulo de Bellas Artes

Calle del Marqués de Casa Riera #2

To enter this rooftop, you will have to pay 4 euros, it is located at the top of the Bellas Artes cultural center. You can see Madrid’s business district, skyscrapers, the Prado Museum, Retiro Park and the Metropolis Building. It has 2 bars, one of them offers food, it gets pretty busy in the afternoons, so we recommend you arrive early afternoon.

Gourmet Experience Corte Inglés Gran Vía

Plaza de Callao #2

It is located in the 9th floor of the department store Corte Inglés, you can find a range of restaurants, food stalls and a gourmet supermarket if you want to buy something at the end. There is also an outdoor terrace with views to some of the most iconic buldings and landmarks of the city. 



Terraza Cibeles

Plaza Cibeles #1

Located in the last floor of the beautiful building Palacio de Cibeles. You get really nice views from this terrace and a lot of crafted cocktails and food. For colder days this terrace has heaters and blankets so you can go there also in winter season. It is not very big so if you want to grab a table we recommend arriving early.

Nice to Meet You Dear Hotel Madrid

Calle Gran Vía #80

Located in the last floor of the Dear Hotel in Gran Via and near to Plaza España, from this terrace you can see Malasaña neighborhood, Madrid city center, Casa de Campo and even the mountains. When you arrive there you will have to walk to find the upper part of the terrace where you can enjoy the views.

Terraza del Florida

Paseo República de Panamá #1 

Located inside El Retiro Park, it has two terraces one upper terrace where you can grab dinner or drinks and the lower terrace where you can have some tapas and some drinks. When summer starts every Sunday in the lower terrace you can enjoy live music, be sure to arrive early because it gets really crowded.

Plaza de Santo Domingo #13

 Located in the Santo Domingo Hotel, it has a chill atmosphere and typically is not very crowded. It has music but not that loud so you can have a conversation and relax. The price is not that expensive, our recommendation is to go watch the sunset there.

The Hat

Calle Imperial #9

This hidden terrace is located in the 5th floor of The Hat Hostel and it is known thanks to its cool and laid-back vibe thanks to the young travelers that arrive in the hostel. You can enjoy a different view overlooking the roofs of the houses that are located in the city center. You can enjoy a beer or even a cocktail in a bag and order some tapas.

Azotea Forus Barceló

Calle Barceló #6

This spacious rooftop is located in the Barceló food market, it is a green oasis in the middle of Chueca and Malasaña. You can enjoy a creative and healthy cuisine as well as some drinks in a friendly urban garden environment.

Terraza de Sabatini

Planta Ático, Cuesta de San Vicente #16

In this terrace you can enjoy beautiful views of Madrid’s Royal Palace, it is located on the rooftop of the Jardines de Sabatini Apartosuites Hotel. It has comfy, white seating, that is ideal to relax and enjoy a drink while watching the sunset.

The Principal

Calle del Marqués de Valdeiglesias #1

Located in The Principal Hotel of Madrid it is one of the most amazing rooftops, is not the cheapest but it a must go. The views you can enjoy of Círculo de Bellas Artes and of the Metropolis building are unique.
